Keeping Odd Hours: Data Handling in Drupal

11:15-11:35 PM @ Pantheon Community Center

Summary

Hours in an academic library are not like a store’s hours. A university can have multiple library locations, and services within a building may have different hours from the building itself. Emory University Libraries’ buildings and services are spread across multiple campuses, compounding the problem, and our patrons need accurate information in order to fulfill their requests. Our solution is to think of ourselves more like a mall than a single store. This impacts both how we show our hours to users and how we update them in Drupal. In this talk, we will present our complicated use case and our current implementation for feedback. Come see an example of how an academic library handles odd hours!
